Did you ever watch Oprah Winfrey Show? I bet you did. If you ever noticed one of Oprah’s guest is Nate Berkus. He is interior designer who is really talented and charming. He has his own show called The Nate Berkus Show which premiered September 13, 2010. He was born in Orange County, California.
First i saw Nate on Oprah, i was so amazed with his work. He could change a disaster house into chic and sleek place. Unfortunately, he is gay. Sad sad sad !! His partner is Brian Atwood, known as Bally Shoe designer.
Do you remember tsunami disaster happened in 2004? Nate was one of the victim. He was in Sri Lanka with his former partner photographer Fernando Bengoechea. While Berkus survived, Bengoechea is missing and presumed dead. Berkus appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show on January 17, 2005, to talk about his ordeal and the loss of his love.
Back to his decor. According to Elle Decor, he’s known for his amazing juxtaposition of colors, textures, and objects from places as disparate as antiques malls and junk shops (Palm Beach’s Dixie Highway and San Diego are favorites), as well as Mexico City, HSN, and the Internet. Despite this eclectic mix, his rooms always seem rhythmic, never rocky.
